(JNS.org) The Facebook page of Al-Rasalah, a publication of the Palestinian terror group Hamas, on Friday evening ran a picture of the three Muslim terrorists behind two deadly terror attacks last week in Paris—accompanied by the caption, “The shahidim [martyrs] who were dispatched by God, the heroes of the raid in Paris.”
Hamas later removed praise for the attacks from all official Hamas websites, Israel Hayom reported. On Saturday, the Gaza-based terror group issued a statement condemning the wave of terrorism in France, but not specifically mentioning the attack on the Hyper Cacher kosher supermarket.
“[Hamas] stresses that its position on the latest events in Paris is in line with the statement issued by the International Union of Muslim Scholars which condemned the attack on the Charlie Hebdo newspaper, and that any differences in opinion are no justification for killing innocents,” the group said.
At the same time, Hamas blasted what it called Israeli government officials’ “helpless attempts” in public statements to draw comparisons between Hamas terrorism in Israel and the violence in France.
